Lord Mayor's Picnic

Would you like to take in the sights and sounds of harbourside Sydney on New Year’s Eve while giving service to the community? Then come and join us!

This is a great opportunity to give service to families that have children who are less fortunate than others. Enjoy an afternoon and evening of volunteering, while assisting with activities for this invite only NYE event put on by the Lord Mayor of the City of Sydney for families of children with special needs.  

Who:

Senior Guides aged 14+, Adult Members, Support Group Members and Families are encouraged to apply. 

When:

Friday 31 December 2021

Time:

Approximately. 1 pm – 9 pm, final times will be announced closer to the event.

Parade Ground, Royal Botanic Gardens

Event Details: 

All Guides, family, and friends are welcome to volunteer for this event; however, spaces are limited.  Volunteers represent Girl Guides NSW & ACT at this event and it is an honour to be asked to volunteer again this year by the City of Sydney. 

Apart from assisting with the stalls (face painting, games, etc) you will get premium, front line seats in the Botanic Gardens (next to the Opera House) for the 9pm fireworks.

This is an alcohol-free event. 

ADM 27s & 28s will be collected via online portal. A confirmation will be sent after 17 December with final event details and an additional email will go out  the week before Christmas. 

Please Note: Lord Mayor’s Picnic is an active volunteering role and you must be able to stand long periods of time, lift a minimum of 10 kgs, and be at least 14 years old. It is essential that volunteers are able to provide assistance to patrons if necessary.

Registration is required for this event via online submission by December 14, 2018. Your registration will be confirmed after 17 December via email. Please be aware that registrations on the day of the event at the location will not be accepted.

REGISTRATION & REFUND POLICY EVENTS:
Unless specified otherwise, you must be a current and active Member of Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT to attend. Membership must be current before registering. Adult Members, Ongoing Volunteers, and event participants over the age of 18 (or 16 if local jurisdiction requires) must be CSCF compliant  to attend or their ticket to attend will be cancelled and a refund will be issued.
For large in-person events, registrations close 3 weeks prior to event date, unless sold out prior (or unless specified in event information).
There are no name changes or refunds after registration close date.
  
REFUNDS
All refunds must be requested via email. Refunds are not offered after the registration close date.

CANCELLATIONS
If an event is cancelled, registrants will be refunded. However, in the event of the cancellation of a fundraising event, ticket price will be refunded minus the amount of the donation included. If a course is cancelled attendees will be offered a transfer to another instance of the same course.
