NOTICE OF GENERAL MEETING, 7.30pm, Thursday 28 January 2021 


AUDIO VISUAL MEETING 

NOTICE is hereby given of a General Meeting of the Girl Guides Association (New South Wales) which is to be held on Thursday 28 January 2021, over Zoom, to further inform members and discuss the recent expressions of interest process and sale of Glengarry, commencing at 7.30pm. 

Business of the General Meeting 

  1. Welcome and Declaration of Quorum 
  2. Acknowledgement of Country 
  3. Apologies 
  4. Consideration of Members Business. 
  5. Close of General Meeting 

As per the Constitution, Members’ Resolutions cannot be accepted by the Chair at the meeting (Clause 6.14.12). If a Member wishes to put a resolution to the meeting, it must be received in writing by the CEO and allowed by the Chair by close of business,19 January 2021, to enable appropriate notice of the Resolution/s to be provided to Members who wish to vote by proxy and for postal proxies to be received by COB 25 January 2021.

Members will be able given reasonable opportunity to make comments and ask questions of the Chair regarding the business of the meeting.

Proxy: If a resolution is put and accepted, Members wishing to vote by appointing a proxy must provide an executed proxy form. If applicable, proxy forms will be circulated with notice of resolution. If this is to be a postal proxy form it must be delivered by close of business on 25 January 2021 to the Chief Executive Officer at Guide House, 2/55 Holt Street, Surry Hills, NSW, 2010. If it is an electronic proxy form it must be completed by 4.30pm on 28 January 2021.;

Members may attend the General Meeting by dialling in via a zoom link to be provided following registration closing.

A confirmation email with further information will be included along with your Zoom access details prior to the meeting from 3pm on Thursday 27 January.

Registration & Refund Policy Courses:

You must be a current financial Member or Board Member of Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT to attend. Please make sure your membership is current before registering and have your membership number available to sign up online.
Registrations open: 5 PM, Tuesday 5 January
Registrations close: Thursday, 28 January at 2pm.

REGISTRATION & REFUND POLICY EVENTS:
Unless specified otherwise, you must be a current and active Member of Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT to attend. Membership must be current before registering. Adult Members, Ongoing Volunteers, and event participants over the age of 18 (or 16 if local jurisdiction requires) must be CSCF compliant  to attend or their ticket to attend will be cancelled and a refund will be issued.
For large in-person events, registrations close 3 weeks prior to event date, unless sold out prior (or unless specified in event information).
There are no name changes or refunds after registration close date.
  
REFUNDS
All refunds must be requested via email. Refunds are not offered after the registration close date.

CANCELLATIONS
If an event is cancelled, registrants will be refunded. However, in the event of the cancellation of a fundraising event, ticket price will be refunded minus the amount of the donation included. If a course is cancelled attendees will be offered a transfer to another instance of the same course.
