Helen Storrow Pop Up

Helen Storrow Pop Up

In 2019, the Helen Storrow pop-up seminars connected 400 girls and young women from 8 countries. In 2021, we hope to connect even more pop-up seminars!

Who is Helen Storrow?

Helen Storrow (1864 – 1944) was an American Girl Scout leader. Helen Storrow was a progressive thinker, philanthropist and social reformer. In 1915 she met Juliette Gordon Low and became a key figure in Girl Scouts of the USA. In 1932, she founded Our Chalet, the first WAGGGS World Centre. Helen Storrow Seminars have been held since 1986 to honour her legacy.

What is Helen Storrow Seminar?

Helen Storrow Seminars usually take place every year at Our Chalet, Switzerland. Young women aged 18-25 from around the world are given the chance to develop as leaders and change makers who, inspired by their adventure in the Swiss Alps, return home and make a meaningful difference to the environment.
The Helen Storrow Seminar 2021 is different because for the first time, we are fully delivering this seminar virtually!

What is Helen Storrow Pop Up?

Pop-up Helen Storrow Seminars are national events that take place during the Helen Storrow Seminar 2021 (1-24 October 2021). They adapt the Helen Storrow Seminar programme, and use the internet to connect virtually with pop-ups in other countries.

Theme
