11am Region Refresh and focus for 2023 and beyond

We began a journey in 2021 to review our Guiding management structure and ensure it is set up for success to enable Guiding to achieve its goals. This has brought a number of positive changes including improving processes. Hear more about where we are headed and what this means for you!

11:15am Quality Framework

Discover a new tool rolling out in 2023 to help us all collectively speak the same language, and focus our approach on Quality Guiding. Quality Guiding is so much more than the AGP! It is a jigsaw of different items, which weave together to create a healthy, thriving and vibrant District. This includes how to support Leaders, and uplift our strong Guiding brand. What does good look like and how can we enable greater support from Regions and the SGGO to help local groups flourish? This session will cover off the tool/checklist, the implementation plan, and the feedback loop as we navigate forward.

11:45am The Guiding Calendar

The Guiding Calendar (or SGGO Calendar) overviews Events and Courses. A new approach is being taken in 2023 to highlight all the wonderful opportunities available across NSW, ACT & NT. Come and hear more about it from our Engagement Lead and what it means for you and your Guiding experience and the exciting opportunities to get involved!

1pm: DNA Dynamite: our values

Girl Guides is a values-based organisation. The Promise and Law is the centrestone of Girl Guiding and a Guiding light to us all and something we cherish as Members of Girl Guides. But there are many other people who volunteer, work, or otherwise support Girl Guiding who do not make their Promise. Learn about how we will bridge this gap and bring our entire community together in a conversation about our culture and our DNA.

1:15pm Breakout 2: Culture Consultation

This breakout will be a facilitated small groups workshop where consultations will be undertaken to discover more about what you care about, what you think our organisational values should reflect, and ways we can collectively better put into practice the intent of the Promise and Law. Add your voice to this important conversation!
