What is Canva?
Canva is a graphic design platform, used to create social media graphics, presentations, posters, documents and other visual content. The app includes templates for users to use. The platform is free to use and offers paid subscriptions like Canva Pro and Canva for Enterprise for more functionality.
Canva is an Australian company that was founded in Perth and is headquartered close to Guide House. It is used by people all over the world!
How does Canva work?
Canva is easy to sign up for, using either an email, Google account, or Facebook login. You can create an account at
canva.com.
Canva offers plenty of virtual templates for you to work with a design and add in your own changes. We have created Girl Guides Templates so you can create Girl Guides designs as if you were a part of the Marketing & Communications Team at Guide House! Once completed, you can download the file, share it via lots of social media optimized options, or send it to a professional print service to have it printed.
Canva can be used on a desktop PC or Mac in an internet browser or downloadable application, works great on laptops, chromebooks and MacBooks as well as tablets, iPads, and smartphones.
Your designs are also accessible from any device you log into with your account.
How much does Canva cost?
Canva is free for personal use and Guide House has a not-for-profit account that allows us to create templates and share them with you for free also.
