Coastal Cleanup @ Taronga

Come with a friend or come on your own and make new friends. Parents and carers welcome too and MUST REGISTER and provide a Working With Children Check (WWCC) to attend! Service is part of the Girl Guide Program and this project, now in it's 3rd year, will also give you an insight into marine plastic pollution. This project will take just one hour of your time and will be celebrated by an Amazing Adventure Race within the zoo afterwards. What a great opportunity for another Girl Guide Adventure at Taronga Zoo. NB: Youth Members must attend with a registered and compliant parent, carer or Leader.
Please note, this activity involves lots of walking, and uneven surfaces. Participants must be in good health, physically fit and able to participate in all activities.

Important: Parents and carers must now provide a valid working with children check as well as be registered as a volunteer with Girl Guides. 8:30am - Meet at Taronga Main Entrance
9am - 10am Beach Cleanup
10:30am - Conservation discussion followed by game rules
11am - 11:45am - The Amazing Zoo Race!
11:45am - Announcement of winners!!
12pm - Event close

This event is free however you must register to attend i.e hold a ticket in your name, including parents and carers. Places are strictly limited.
