Science is Fun!

Science is Fun!

"Science is Fun" is an exciting, engaging and interactive overnight camp for Pre-Junior and Junior Guides!

Science is Fun is a State overnight event for Pre-Junior and Junior Guide aged members (5-10 years). At the Junior Science Sleepover/Camp in Canberra 2022 we took the Guides offsite and visited Questacon and the National Zoo and Aquarium, with a sleepover in a pavilion at Canberra's showgrounds.

This year the event will be a camping experience for the Guides, showcasing science-based activities around the elements of Wind, Earth, Water and Air; with patrols and cabins to sleep in, camp duties to take part in, and plenty of fun to be had. We will still have around 80 Guides and 30 adults at the camp.

A wonderful opportunity for Pre-Junior Guides, Junior Guides and Leaders to experience adventure in the ACT Region.

Please note, Youth Members should generally attend with their Leader. However, for older girls aged 8–10 who feel confident camping (and have Guide camp experience), reach out to us about attending without your Leader. Girls attending solo will be allocated a Patrol and a Leader to oversee them.
