Great Guide Sleepover - Darwin

EV26024

Join us this year for double the fun and adventure with our extended Great Guide Sleepover program, running from 10:00am Saturday 22 August to 10:00am Sunday 23 August 2026!

The first sleepover was held in 1996 on the steps of the Sydney Opera House to raise awareness and funds for homeless communities. Since then, the Sleepover has become an annual tradition, moving locations over the years while continuing to support worthwhile causes and strengthen our Guiding community.

Now in its 31st year we are excited to return to Territory Wildlife Park (TWP), Darwin for an unforgettable experience sleeping under the stars. Enjoy a weekend packed with Guiding adventures, wildlife encounters, movies, dancing, games and much more.

This year's event is extra special as we celebrate 100 years of Girl Guides in the Northern Territory. Join us as we honour a century of friendship, leadership, adventure, and community service, while creating memories that will inspire the next generation of Guides.

We are also proud to support the Red-tailed Black Cockatoo, one of Australia's most iconic native birds. Throughout the weekend, participants will learn more about this magnificent species and how we can help protect its future.

There will be prizes. There will be tents. There will be awesome fun of epic proportions!
