Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT Roadmap for returning to face-to-face Girl Guides activities

Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT are adhering to public health orders and following Government restrictions regarding lockdowns, lock-outs, vaccinations, stay-at-home orders and other COVID-19 related public health concerns.

This information on this page is based on information provided in ‘The ACT’s Pathway Forward’ as published on the ACT Government’s website   and 'Freedoms for fully vaccinated people' as published on the NSW Government's website .

Girl Guides activities in the NT are currently operating without restrictions. For up-to-date NT Government advice please refer to the NT Government's website .

The information below will be updated if more information becomes available. All dates are based on predictions of vaccination rollout and will depend on public health advice. Dates may be subject to change.

  • Masks will remain mandatory for all indoor premises and settings, except children 12 years and under, and in offices for vaccinated
  • Masks no longer required outdoors for vaccinated
  • Carpooling allowed for vaccinated
  • COVIDsafe plan required for all Halls and activities
  • Check-in with Service NSW App 
  • Mask wearing will be mandatory while travelling on public transport, on planes and at airports only
  • Unlimited travel in NSW for everyone
  • Freedoms applicable regardless of vaccination status

  • Halls owned by the Association are classified by NSW Health as Community Centres. This includes Girl Guides owned Halls on leased or Crown land. If you meet in a different facility, check if Guiding is allowed with the landlord or proprietor. If you need assistance, talk to your Region Manager

Outdoor Guide Activities
  • General conditions as above
  • Max of 50 people  (not including Unit Leaders Unit Helpers and Parent Helpers required to meet ratios) if all adults, and youth aged 16 years + are fully vaccinated
  •  All restrictions lifted
  • COVIDsafe plan required for events of 1000+
 Overnight Stays/Camps
  •  Check with ROAC

 Indoor Activities – Hall Hirers
  • Halls owned by the Association classified by NSW Health as Community Centres
  • 20p max for active classes – e.g. fitness, yoga, dance - masks required
  • ensure all Hirers are aware of NSW Roadmap requirements
