In 2025, Clean Up Australia Day is on Sunday 2 March, but as always, we encourage Units to host their own Clean Up days on the weeks and days that fit well with their program planning. This year they are hoping to make it the biggest Clean Up yet!
Girl Guides have been part of this initiative to proactively reduce waste in communities since the very first Clean Up event in 1990. Let’s continue our involvement to help conserve our environment!
Organising a Clean Up
- Choose a local park, bushland, beach, or suitable streets in your community or near your Unit to clean up.
- Register your Unit’s participation in a Clean Up here. Make sure to choose the community option! By registering, you will receive a clean up kit with bags, gloves and key information (please make sure to register at least two weeks before).
- Don't forget to share your Clean Up Stores on socials or by emailing pics to us at [email protected].

Fundraising for Clean Up Australia
All profits from the sale of the 2025 badge will be donated to Clean Up Australia to support their efforts to create positive change. Last year we were able to donate $1,000!
