Girl Guides Go Places - including Online!

20 March 2020

This week, Castle Hill Bounty Senior Guides held their first online Guide meeting via Zoom.

Here is their story, through the eyes of Carolina Peters (Banksia), Leader of the Castle Hill Unit.

"After a few technical hitches (and some giggles over virtual background choices), we were underway with colours courtesy of virtual Australian flag.

Several of our Senior Guides are doing their Queen's Guide and tonight they presented their reports. We were joined by girls and their leader, Quokka from OHANA Ranger Guides in Gympie, Queensland who also shared their Queen's Guide experiences. This is one of the massive benefits we'll see of our new online world where we can have Guides and speakers join from around the state, country and even the world.

We've since received so many messages from the girls who absolutely loved the format and can't wait for the next meeting. Oh, and the other bonus? Virtually meeting the girl's pets who regularly made their presence known!"
