Glengarry: perfect for camping, functions and conferences

Located on Sydney’s leafy upper north shore, Glengarry boasts 70 acres of beautiful secluded bushland, accommodation for up to 60, a state of the art commercial kitchen, low ropes course, an outdoor chapel and camping facilities.
While serving as Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT’s State Training and Outdoor Centre, Glengarry is also a popular venue for Girl Guide events, low-key Guide meetings, functions large and small and a touch of camping conveniently close to Sydney City.

Accommodates 56 people, in two dorms of 18 beds; 12 single rooms and four twin single rooms. It boasts a fully equipped brand new commercial kitchen. Within Glengarry House is Loveday Barton Hall and Waratah Dining Room, with seating for maximum 60 people, smart television, a PA system, basic conference facilities and internet access.
Linen and towels may be hired. To ensure availability please request the hiring of these items when making your booking.


There are two separate campsites available for hire: Orana and Nindethana. Electricity is connected to Nindethana campsite with an under cover camp shelter including lighting, outdoor seating, connections to tank and town water, barbecue and campfire facilities. Each campsite also has its own campfire circle. Shower facilities are available, however they are shared among the campsites.


Glengarry Flat is a small self-contained flat that sleeps four in two bedrooms attached to Glengarry House. This flat has its own bathroom with large bath and a kitchenette and can be hired separately from the main house. Fully self-contained, it includes a lounge room with a TV and DVD player.

Accommodates approx 100 people theatre style for conferences, or 60 for a sit down meal. Overlooking the beautiful bushland, it’s a popular venue.
Includes a 60" digital flat screen TV and DVD player, projection screen, piano & cable internet (data projectors and laptops not included). Wifi access is also available; please notify us of your needs prior to booking.
The Hall is adjacent to the Waratah Dining Room, which can be utilised to bump up a formal sit down meal to a total capacity of 100, as the Dining Room accommodates an extra 40 people comfortably. The brand new commercial kitchen adjoins the two spaces providing everything you need to self cater or to hire a professional catering company.


Accommodates approximately 25 at desks or can be divided into two separate rooms. Includes tea and coffee making facilities, chalkboards, whiteboards, projection screens, TV (no reception) with DVD player and an external bathroom. Please provide your own data projectors and laptops.


Accommodates approximately 15 around tables; ideal for small meetings or discussions groups. Includes tea and coffee making facilities.
