Card Village

1. Measure & cut out a square of card. Fold this card in half very carefully. Open out and then fold each edge to the fold in the centre and open out again. Turn the square round and fold it in half, and then sides to middle again and open out. Now your card should have creases making 16 small squares.
2. Make three cuts along the crease on one side, up to the first crease. Turn the card round and do the same on the opposite side. Write ‘A’ on the four corner squares, and a ‘B’ on the four middle ones.
3. Fold the card in the centre, and by pulling one ‘B’ flap over the other ‘B’ flap you will make the roof. When they are exactly over one another, glue them together.
4. To make the walls pull ‘A’ and ‘A’ together, and when the top edges lie straight, glue them where they overlap each other. Then glue them to the lower part of the roof at point ‘X’.
5. Do the same for the other end of your house.
6. For the door, cut up a little way and then across, bend it a bit like an open door. Draw on the windows or cut them out of paper and stick them on.
7. Cut a strip of Paper for the chimney, fold it in half and in half again.
8. Stick your chimney on, do any painting or colouring needed and your house is ready.
9. Make more houses to create a village.
