Think Guiding showcase. Think bring-a-friend. Think fun, friends and adventure. Think hundreds of PJs and JGs participating in an adventure day and sleepover. 

Back for it’s 3rd year, Lark in the Park returns with a new array of activities. This event for Pre-junior and Junior Guides a unique experience for members to participate in camping, outdoor skills, orienteering, and a variety of day and overnight activities. For many this will be their first taste of campfire camaraderie. Grab your Unit, come by yourself for a buddy up, or with your best Bring-a-Friend.

Who:

• Pre-junior, Junior Guide & Flexible Junior Guide Youth Members - 5-11 year old
• Bring a Friends - 5-11 year old
• Adult Leaders, Adult Helpers, and Junior Leaders.
This event is limited to Pre-junior, Junior Guide and Flexi Units. Members in Guide Units are not to register.

Tickets:

• Youth Day Ticket - $100
• Youth Overnight Ticket - $160
• Bring a Friend Day Ticket - $120
• Bring a Friend Overnight Ticket - $180
• Junior Leader Day Ticket - $25
• Junior Leader Overnight Ticket - $50
• Adult Leader/Helper Day & Overnight Ticket - Free

Note: Both Day and Overnight Ticket types are available for all PJ, JG, Flexible Junior Guides, Leaders, Adult Helpers and Bring a Friends.

Bring a Friend & Adult Helper

If you are attending as a Bring a Friend or Adult Helper and have difficult registering for the event please contact [email protected]
Note: Both Day and Overnight Ticket types are available for all PJ, JG, Flexible Junior Guides, Leaders, Adult Helpers and Bring a Friends.

Adult Helper
This event is free for Adult Helpers both day and overnight. Dads and males are welcome during the day as Adult Helpers. Only Moms and females are allowed as overnight adult helpers and must have a Working With Children Check. 

  • Overnight Adult Helpers - Required check  Working With Children Check or Working with Vulnerable People . You will not be able to attend the event overnight without out. Not sure how to get one. See the section below for more details on Working with Children Checks and Working with Vulnerable People and requirements from Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT. This is a free check for any adult helper volunteers, but please do allow enough time for submission and response through Service NSW. 

Deadline for Submission: All overnight Adult Helpers must have this on file with Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT before Thursday 26 March. 
Note: Out of state adult helpers are not required to provide a NSW Working With Children Check.

Working With Children Checks (overnight Adult Helpers): 

As this is an overnight event, all adult helpers must hold a valid WWCC or WWVP to meet legislative requirements.
All overnight adult helpers MUST have a Working with Children Check on file with Girl GUides NSW, ACT, & NT by Monday 23 March

Registration & Refund Policy:

You must be a current Member of Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT in good financial standing to attend. Please make sure your membership is current before registering and have your membership number available to sign up online.

Registrations close: 8am Monday 16 March, unless event is filled prior to this date.

No name changes, refunds or transfers after 8am Monday 16 March.

All refund requests must be submitted via email to [email protected] and will only be processed under extenuating circumstances.

REGISTRATION & REFUND POLICY EVENTS:
Unless specified otherwise, you must be a current and active Member of Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT to attend. Membership must be current before registering. Adult Members, Ongoing Volunteers, and event participants over the age of 18 (or 16 if local jurisdiction requires) must be CSCF compliant  to attend or their ticket to attend will be cancelled and a refund will be issued.
For large in-person events, registrations close 3 weeks prior to event date, unless sold out prior (or unless specified in event information).
There are no name changes or refunds after registration close date.
  
REFUNDS
All refunds must be requested via email. Refunds are not offered after the registration close date.

CANCELLATIONS
If an event is cancelled, registrants will be refunded. However, in the event of the cancellation of a fundraising event, ticket price will be refunded minus the amount of the donation included. If a course is cancelled attendees will be offered a transfer to another instance of the same course.
