Completing your Duke of Edinburgh International Award or interested in getting started?

Come along to casual Award Catch Up’s that will be hosted by Virginia Brown, State Outdoor Activity Consultant. Virginia knows how important it can be to have a strong network to provide guidance in the completion of any Award, that is how these catch up's were created to provide you with tailored support. 

These sessions are available to those who are completing their Duke of Edinburgh International Award or interested to learn more. The purpose is to give you the opportunity to: 
Ask questions about The Award process, including registrations, submissions, activities etc. 
       Cover specific topics that require additional support or guidance.
Get inspiration and ongoing motivation to complete The Award. 
Meet others who are also completing The Award and learn more from their experience.

When

Thursday 19 May 

Where

Online through Microsoft Teams.
Once you register you will receive an automatic confirmation to add to your calendar which includes the joining link to the catch up.

Time

7:30 - 8:30pm (NSW & ACT Time)
5pm - 6pm (NT Time)

Who

Senior Guides 
Adult Members
The sessions are targeted to those who are completing their Duke of Edinburgh International Award and those who are interested in getting involved but not too sure where to start.

How to Register

1. Log in to the Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT website.
2. 
Click on My Guidebook.
3. 
Click on the blue Youth Awards tab on the left hand side of screen.
4. 
Click on The Duke of Edinburgh International Award icon, this will take you to the dedicated information page for The Award.
5. 
Click on The Duke of Edinburgh International Catch Up Booking Portal and follow the steps to book in.

Once you are registered you will receive an automatic confirmation with the link to the online Teams meeting. You will also receive a reminder 1 day prior.

Registrations:

You must be a current Member of Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT in good financial standing to attend.
Registrations for each catch up will close 1 day prior.

REGISTRATION & REFUND POLICY EVENTS:
You must be a current Member of Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT in good financial standing to attend. Membership must be current before registering.
Registrations close 3 weeks prior to event date, unless sold out prior.
There are no name changes or refunds after registration close date.
All refund requests must be submitted via email to [email protected]
 
REGISTRATION & REFUND POLICY COURSES:
You must be a current Member of Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT in good financial standing to attend. Membership must be current before registering.

There are no name changes or refunds after the registration close date.
Under certain circumstance, within the Courses Department, a transfer rather than a refund may be considered. Transfers will be to the next available equivalent course in the calendar year.

REFUNDS
All refunds must be requests via email. Refunds are not offered after the registration close date. However, refunds will be considered after the registration close date under extenuating circumstances (e.g. medical emergency or death in the family).

CANCELLATIONS
If an event is cancelled, registrants will be refunded. However, in the event of the cancellation of a fundraising event, ticket price will be refunded minus the amount of the donation included. If a course is cancelled attendees will be offered a transfer to another instance of the same course.
