Youth Mental Health First Aid Training
Calling all parents and volunteers in Willoughby! You are invited to a free two-day Mental Health First Aid course, kindly funded by the Chatswood RSL’s ClubGRANTS program.
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone with an interest in learning about mental health, or how to better support the children and young people around you. Once completed, the course can be fully accredited online, qualifying you as a Mental Health First Aider for 3 years.
“ Youth Mental Health First Aid® course equips adults who teach, care for and support young people, with the skills and confidence needed to recognise and respond to a young person experiencing a mental health problem or crisis.”
This is an event for those in the Willoughby LGA. Priority will be given to Willoughby residents, but if there are any spots available after this, it will be extended to other areas.
Refreshments will be provided, including morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea.
Those signing up will need to be available for both days of the course.
Please note, your registration details will be shared with our third-party Training Provider - Mental Health First Aid Trainer Microfirm Pty Ltd.
