Important Information

How does it work?

The products listed can be personalised via design styles, and in most cases, the inclusion of a name. This new range or merchandise has Girl Guide designs and a range of generic designs to appeal to the wider community. Funds will be raised via commission on products sold and this fundraiser can be promoted to Girl Guide members and families in your wider community. Districts will have the opportunity to earn 16% of the recommended retail price for each product sold through the fundraiser.

Each District will be sent a unique code which will assign the commission from your District sale to your fundraising total. Promote this code widely to ensure commission is directed to your District.

Location on Cash's Website

The dedicated webpage for Girl Guides sits under the "SHOP FOR" section of the Cash's Apparel Website.

How are funds allocated from the fundraiser?

Each SGGO has selected the most suitable fundraising model for their membership. Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT will be running the fundraiser as a District fundraiser.

Funds raised through the fundraiser will be allocated to each District via unique codes which are to be promoted by your District. All marketing resources promoted by your District for this fundraiser, must include your unique code.

Unique Code Allocation

Unique codes specific to each District will be distributed via email communications in the coming days.

Please make sure to include your unique code in all your promotions so that your sales are allocated to your District. Supporters of the fundraiser will apply the promoted unique code at checkout.

Accessing Funds

Commission will be distributed to your District at the end of the fundraiser in April 2024.

Marketing Resources

Marketing resources have been developed by Girl Guides Australia and are included in this fundraiser pack. All marketing resources promoted by your District for this fundraiser, should include your unique code.
Download these resources at the top of this page.

Adding the Unique Code

To include your unique code:

- Type your District code directly into the allocated space at the bottom of the PDF files prior to printing. The PDF has a text box at the bottom where you can add the code.
- If you do not have access to a computer to edit, you can simply print one copy, hand write in the code and then make copies to distribute. If you do handwrite the unique code, remember to make sure it's big enough and clear to read.
- For promotion via social media, your District code can be included in the social post text/caption.

Fundraiser Promotion Ideas

Local community: posters on community boards at the local shops or community centres.
- Local Schools or daycare centres: flyers provided to schools for distribution to parents/guardians.
- Flyer Drop: Organise a 'Flyer Drop' activity with Girl Guides locally or with your District.
- Social Media Promotion: Post at least once a week and make sure to ask friends and followers to reshare the post.

FAQs

Who is Cash's?
Cash's is the national Girl Guides badge supplier. In addition to producing badges, Cash's also runs a merchandise business, providing high quality products for children and adults.

Will this be run annually?
Initially, the fundraiser will be run as a pilot from November 2023 - March 2024. Once the pilot is finished, GGA will assess the feedback and data to determine if it will continue in future years.

If there are future fundraisers, will we be given the opportunity to add to the product range?
If the pilot is a success, then the product range could certainly be reviewed and GGA welcome any feedback.

What if someone forgets to include the code at checkout?
Any unallocated funds raised through purchases via the Girl Guides page on the Cash's website will still be provided to the SGGOs.

When can the last order be placed via the website for delivery before Christmas?
Orders should be placed before 15 December 2023.

Who chose the product price?
The product is targeted at the public and is on par with retail stores. The pricing is determined by the supplier.

Are the products made in Australia?
The merchandise is made offshore and the personalisation of the product such as the print and names are applied locally in Australia.
