Call for 2024 Leadership Event Volunteers

WAGGGS is currently recruiting volunteers to support the Helen Storrow Seminar and Juliette Low Seminar.
Helen Storrow Seminar
• The Helen Storrow Seminar (HSS) is a unique opportunity for leadership development at Our Chalet in Switzerland. The HSS always has a focus on environmental sustainability and the event will take place from 12 to 19 March 2024.
• Volunteer Roles are expected to start in October 2023 and finish in March 2024 (6 months total). This role includes travel to Our Chalet, and you must be available to travel to Switzerland for the event.
Juliette Low Seminar
• The Juliette Low Seminar (JLS) is WAGGGS’ flagship leadership development experience for members of Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting aged between 18-30. The theme for JLS 2024 is peace and will be held 29 September to 5 October 2024.
• Lead roles are expected to start in November 2023 and finish in April 2025 (18
months total). Team members are expected to start in January 2024 and finish
in April 2025 (16 months total). Please note that not all volunteer roles will be
travelling. If appointed, you will receive a full role description before signing
your volunteer agreement.
All volunteers will need to be members of the WAGGGS Volunteer Resource Pool. For information about joining the WAGGGS Volunteer Resource Pool, please email

Where: Our Chalet, Switzerland (HSS). Venue for JLS to be confirmed.
Who: Girl Guide Members 18+
How much: To follow. Volunteers will be supported by WAGGGS. (Please be aware that extra costs may be incurred by extending your trip pre or post event).
