Celebrating Our Incredible Girl Guide Volunteers on International Volunteer Day

Happy International Volunteer Day! Today, we pause to extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of the volunteers who contribute tirelessly to the success and impact of Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT.

This year's International Volunteer Day theme, "If Everyone Did," prompts us to contemplate the profound positive changes that can unfold when individuals unite for a common cause. Envision a world where everyone volunteers – where possibilities for sustainable development are limitless. From ensuring food and education for all to fostering a clean environment, good health, inclusive and peaceful societies, the potential is boundless.

For over a century, Girl Guides have been pioneers of positive change, empowering girls and young women to become confident, courageous, and capable individuals. The impact of our volunteers reverberates across generations, backgrounds, and geographical locations. Today, more women than ever are equipped with the tools to thrive and make a lasting impact in our rapidly changing world. Why, our incredible volunteers. The true changemakers behind this transformation.

As we reflect on the incredible journey of our Association and witness the Girl Guides of today evolving into future leaders, we want to acknowledge the pivotal role each volunteer plays in making our mission a reality. The dedication and passion do not go unnoticed. The people who are the driving force behind the positive change we see in the world, do not go unnoticed. We are profoundly grateful for the lasting impact you make on the lives of girls and young women every single day.

The entire team at Guide House, the office of Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT, extends warmest wishes for International Volunteer Day and a deep appreciation of Volunteers. Thank you, Volunteers, for your unwavering commitment to amplifying our impact on girls and young women. Your embodiment of the spirit of volunteerism is truly the heart of Girl Guides!
