Town Hall 23 September 2023 |

Dear Members,
Thank you for your participation and engagement at the Town Hall information meeting on Saturday 23 September.
We had over 215 Members register and over 180 Members attend, with many questions submitted ahead of time and asked during the meeting. This demonstrates a high degree of interest in the work the Board is doing to ensure our sustainability and relevance for years to come. It is a challenging road ahead, but we are committed to work with positivity, courage and focus to future proof our organisation.
It was very valuable to hear firsthand the issues important to our Members, such as inclusion and diversity and the involvement of young women in decision-making. We will continue to make these issues a priority.
We are pleased to share the slides from the presentation delivered by Emily Milton Smith, State Commissioner and Board Chair, and Charlotte Weatherall, Deputy Chair.
We will share a FAQs/overview summary of the Town Hall with Members soon. The refreshed Strategic Plan 2021-2026 launched to Membership at the Town Hall will also be shared soon.
The Board recognises it has a lot more work to do to ensure we are visible to our Members and that we communicate our role within the organisation. We want to do better in this space, and the Town Hall was one of many first steps in this direction. Your questions, your participation, when you challenge and ask for clarity and additional information, that's when magic happens! We look forward to creating more spaces and opportunities for this type of engagement.
We are grateful for your kindness.
Thank you for your participation and thank you for everything you do in Guiding — our Members are the heart of Girl Guides.
