Write and Hear Herstory this International Day of the Girl

October 11 is the official Day of the Girl.

Since the International Day of the Girl began in 2012, the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) has celebrated International Day of the Girl by promoting tools and platforms that would amplify the voices of girls and raise awareness on issues that matter to girls the most.

For International Day of the Girl 2021, the activities and campaign from WAGGGS will revolve around the news and WAGGGS invite Gir; Guides and Girl Scouts globally to join them to #WriteHerStory.

The WAGGGS activity pack  will guide girls to speak out for a change they want to see through a short and achievable advocacy project, led by them.

WAGGGS will also run a social media campaign on the different WAGGGS social media accounts.

And, for the first time in WAGGGS-IDG herstory, they will be having a series of podcasts!

#HearHerStory will feature people who have taken action and delivered projects related to advocacy. The podcasts will look at issues they overcame and how they made a difference.
