Marathon canoe/kayak/SUP*: is for either 2 members in a canoe or 1 member in a kayak/SUP.  Girls will paddle a set course of approx 1-2 kms (around the bay).  A little bit of boating experience may be useful for this one.  This is an open event.

Leaders Race: is for any leader who is not competing as a member of an OP team.

Special Race: is for 2 members of the team where one or both paddlers have special needs.

Raft Race*: The most chaotic, popular and fun race at the Regatta.  Any raft must be large enough to carry at least 2 members of your team, must be paddled throughout the race (not pushed) and must be constructed on site. Equipment to build your raft must be brought to Regatta and those racing it must have the appropriate clothing and footwear.  The rafts are judged on construction, design based on the theme, originality and the ability to race/float.  This is an open event.

Novelty Race: is for 4 members of the team.  The details of the fun race will be provided to the race commencing.

No boating experience is required for any of the events.  If you have no boating experience we do recommend that you attend boating familiarisation on Saturday morning.

For rowing races all boats need a cox.  The cox does not row but directs the rower(s) around the buoy and back to the shore.
