What changes would you like to see in the world to make it a better place?

Materials Needed

  • Using the Global Goals (GG) girls identify what they would like to see changed in the world to make it a better place. Global Goals Chart link https://girlguidesnswact.sharepoint.com/GlobalGoalsChart
  • Funny Foam or recycled cardboard for a cereal box or similar
  • Star templates
  • Pencils
  • Pop sticks
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Textas
  • Stickers

Instructions

  1. Using the Global Goals (GG) girls identify what they would like to see changed in the world to make it a better place.
  2. Using a pencil & star template they trace a star on to the funny foam or card and cut it out.
  3. Then glue it on the top of the pop stick to make a wand.
  4. Using the foam off cuts, shapes & textas decorate the front of the star to represent the GG (a little building as a school for Education opens doors for Girls & Boys or sea creatures for clean water).
  5. Then turn the wand over & write what small change they are willing to make to help this GG come true. (Buy books for a library or always pick up rubbish near water way).
  6. Discuss how they can make changes at home, school and in the community.
