Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT are now recruiting for an Inclusion Lead. Someone to fly the flag of inclusion; someone who isn’t afraid to speak up and lead our community toward a more diverse and equitable world.  

This is an amazing opportunity for a passionate Member to make a big difference. You will oversee and drive a range of strategies and programs that lead to stronger diversity, equity and inclusion across the organisation. This includes convening the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Reference Panel. You’ll also be our principal coordinator of the annual Sydney Mardi Gras Parade and Fair Day.

The Inclusion Lead will:
  • Report to the State Commissioner on matters related to access, diversity, equity and inclusion;
  • promote and facilitate opportunities within Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT for Members with additional support needs;
  • provide advice and support for Leaders that ensure the inclusion of Members with additional support needs;
  • be responsible to the State Commissioner on inclusion support matters relating to the AGP;
  • be responsible for adhering to the Policies and Procedures of Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT;
  • keep up to date with program initiatives for Members with additional support needs from the WAGGGS Member Organisations and other Australian Youth Organisations;
  • collaboratively contribute to the development and implementation of the State Strategic Plan and State Calendar of Events;
  • participate in the development of the annual Region Personnel Conference;
  • collaborate with other State Leads where their respective interest and activities overlap;
  • participate in State Team meetings; and
  • attend relevant State and National Guiding events.
