Girl Guides Australia invites each State Girl Guide Organisation (SGGO) to nominate up to four candidates for consideration to join the Girl Guides Australia (GGA) Young Women’s Forum.
The Young Women’s Forum is a consultative and reference group for GGA that provides input, feedback and guidance to decision making nationally. The forum is a network of young women aged between 16 and 30 years who amplify the voice of girls and young women and provides opportunities for further skill development.
The Young Women’s Forum meets several times a year and is chaired by the Assistant Chief Commissioner (Young Women). The terms of one current forum participant is coming to an end, and we are seeking nominations for new forum participants.
What we're looking for
When nominating, SGGO’s are encouraged to consider diversity and the nominee’s relevant experience. We are seeking active Guiding members, who are enthusiastic about sharing their perspective and can work collaboratively to make a difference.
SGGO’s may nominate up to two candidates for consideration, however, please note that only one may be selected. The forum has vacancies for up to four forum participants with at least one participant from each SGGO, where practicable. Ideally, some continuing participants who have been renominated will continue their term for a further year. An interview process may take place as required.
