Mardi Gras Parade 2024: Our Future...

Mardi Gras Parade 2024: Our Future...

We are excited to again be a part of the Mardi Gras Parade in 2024 with the theme 'Our Future...'!
Our future together is bright, and one to be celebrated.

Join us on Saturday 2nd March, wearing your Girl Guides uniform with pride, and represent our wonderfully inclusive organisation at the Sydney Mardi Gras Parade 2024.

What to expect:

This year, one of our main goals is to be recognisable as Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT. In order to represent our organisation and 'be seen' we will be wearing full uniform (formal preferred) as we dance our way from Oxford Street to Anzac Parade. That's right, dancing and music is back, along with signs, rainbow hair accessories, rainbow jewellery accessories, and glitter! By purchasing a ticket you agree to:
- wear your full Girl Guides uniform for the parade (all Members)
- learn the dance routine (all participants)
- contribute (where possible) to preparations, &/or activities on the day, such as assisting with sign making, decorating the van, carting speaker trolleys and helping with glitter application.

Please be aware that costumes and messaging from other parade participants can sometimes be confronting and provocative. We will have support measures in place on the day, which you will be briefed on prior to the parade and on the parade day. Please ensure that you and/or your child are comfortable with this before registering.

What you'll get:

Entry to the Mardi Gras Parade
Event badge
Snacks
Sign to hold (optional)
A chance to show off your moves and grooves
Glitter make up applied by our Glitter Artist (optional)
