Tomorrow is International Volunteer Managers Day – a day to celebrate and recognise volunteer leadership and the roles managers play in supporting the world’s volunteers.
As a volunteer-based organisation, volunteers play a vital role in the effective delivery of quality Girl Guiding and the management of our volunteer workforce. This includes recruiting, onboarding, training, engaging, performance managing and celebrating our volunteer teams right across NSW, ACT & the NT. This includes but is not limited to our District Managers and Region Managers. This is a day about people leadership! For those of you in roles where you are managing, leading, and inspiring volunteers/people - thank you!
On a more serious note, I am saddened to see we are once again faced with widespread flooding and evacuations across Australia’s East Coast. The cumulative impact of the floods and natural disasters over the past 18 months is devastating. We continue to have those impacted in our thoughts. If you would like to assist communities affected, please consider doing so through a trusted charitable organisation. (Australian Red Cross and Vinnies have been regularly responding to flood impacted areas across Australia. OzHarvest also continues to provide food relief efforts alongside organisations like Food Bank). |

NEW: More Direct Handling of Enquiries
|
|
Please note we have automated the Youth Enquiry process to improve efficiency and increase timeliness. Youth Enquiries are being emailed directly to the relevant Unit email address (the role-based Girl Guides address) with a copy sent to the DM.
This automation will rely on the activation of your firstname.lastname Girl Guides Office 365 (O365) account. With your O365 account you will have access to the shared inbox for your Unit enquiries.
Tap here for more information about O365 and Guiding. To find out what roles in Guiding have had an account set-up, check our FAQs.
Please note by 30 November 2022, you must have activated your O365 Girl Guides’ email address. Avoid missing out on important information including enquiries and activate now!
If you have not yet activated your email address please contact IT Help ([email protected]) as soon as possible.
